Question 1

With regards to pharmacological treatment of radiculopathy symptoms secondary to lumbar interverbal disc herniation:
There is insufficient evidence to support any pharmacologic treatment for management of lumbar radiculopathy
A short course of oral prednisone has shown clinically meaningful improvement for this patient cohort
Pregabalin has shown the greatest benefit for this patient population
Multimodal acetaminophen with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents and neuromodulating medications are advised as first line treatment for these patients
