Fall is here and I am pleased to introduce the next issue of the Journal of Current Clinical Care for your reading pleasure.

Dr. Paul J. Moroz, Jessica Romeo, and Dr. Marcel Abouassaly describe Managing Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis in Primary Care: Screening, Imaging and Successful Referral. Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS) is a condition requiring early detection for appropriate management. This article illustrates the main features of the screening test, offers a guide for imaging, and outlines appropriate tips for specialist referral.

In his article Anticipatory Conversations: Is There a Connection to Ice Cream?, Dr. Michael Gordon, from the Baycrest Centre of Geriatric Care in Toronto, examines the discussions about CPR and DNR as the basis of end-of-life decision-making that may assist family members and health care providers in meeting the needs, wishes and priorities of the elderly population, particularly when they are nearing the last trajectory of life.

Dr. Ariel Lefkowitz offers The Reaper, the first short story for our new Medical Narratives section. With this new section we are aiming to give healthcare professionals a platform to tell their stories and share them in a comfortable and safe environment among their colleagues and peers who can closely relate professionally to the storytellers. We take this opportunity to call on all healthcare professionals to submit short stories to Health Plexus. We will gladly publish these contributions on our portal and in the Journal of Current Clinical Care.

I also offer an article I wrote as a Resident in Science Communications at the Banff Centre this summer on Error in Radiology: Negligence or Human Nature as an introduction to a brand new section on Diagnostic Imaging.
