I am pleased to introduce the next edition of the Journal of Current Clinical Care. In this edition, we offer some articles expanding on themes from recent issues, as well as new topics.

The current issue of the Journal has several interesting articles. We have a case study on A Rare Case of Spontaneous Frontal Sinus Pneumocele Associated with Pneumocephalus Presenting with Severe Headache by Drs. Pradeep Shenoy and Ahmad Khatib from the Cambellton Regional Hospital in New Brunswick. This is only the second case study presented in English literature. Clinical presentation, management, and outcome are discussed.

Dr. Francesca Cheung from the Lynde Centre for Dermatology presents an article on A Non-Healing Facial Lesion. Basal cell carcinoma is the most common type of non-melanoma skin cancer in humans that rarely metastasize. The prognosis is generally very good with 100% survival rate for localized cases.

Dr. Fatemeh Akbarian, et al., from the University of Toronto, describe Cutaneous Malignant Melanoma: Screening and Diagnosis. Early detection and diagnosis of this type of skin cancer followed by adequate surgical excision are crucial in the management of this potentially curable cancer. The article details screening methods and diagnostic criteria including clinical and dermoscopic findings.

In his article Photography: Many Windows into Memories, Dr. Michael Gordon, from the Baycrest Centre of Geriatric Care in Toronto, offers our readers an interesting look into how photography can play an instrumental role in providing an outlet for elders, including those living with dementia to bring back important memories.

I hope you enjoy this issue of JCCC. We look forward to your comments and your article submissions.
