This month we invite our readers to visit http://www.cancercare.on.ca./ccopgi/, the website for the Program in Evidence-based Care, offered by the Cancer Care Ontario.

The Program in Evidence-Based Care (PEBC) aims to bridge the gap between quality cancer care research and current clinical care options. To this end, the site has developed evidence-based care information for health care providers, patients, and their families. The information is provided through various web resources, including the Cancer Care Ontario Practice Guidelines Initiative (CCOPGI).

The CCOPGI provides evidence-based clinical practice guidelines on cancer care including treatment, diagnosis, prevention, and follow-up. The guidelines should assist health care providers in making decisions about cancer care. The CCOPGI also provides evidence summaries, which are overviews of the best evidence available on a particular clinical topic. This section of the site provides information for individuals and groups to use in making decisions and policies where evidence is uncertain.

Both the Practice Guidelines and Evidence Summaries are available on the website as summaries or as full reports, and are also available in French.

We hope that our readers will visit this site and use the information available for their clinical practice.

Each issue of Geriatrics & Aging features a website review of a site that is informative and useful to our readers. If you would like to recommend a site to be reviewed, please e-mail the details to info@geriatricsandaging.ca
